Cik Haliza Salim, shes been working for few month as Public Relation Executive at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru, ..recently, ms yeo marcom manager resigned and now haliza working by herself to overlook on marcom/graphic works.. all of us still report to Dir of Sales & Marketing Encik kamarul Anuar ..hmm we're waiting for new marcom/pr manager to manage art department and marketing communication department..

chinese new year decorations.. dah lama tak buat decor, sudah lebih kurang 5 tahun we only do designs and visual (for colleterals; adverts, posters,flyers etc) involving the hotel, persada johor and sibu island resorts (johor corp sister company) as all festive decor was done out-sourse n by housekeeping department.

Now..well..its kinda..still ok la, kena involve balik;p layaaan.. got 2 partime worker adik and amad
-we're joining hands with hskp dept, but we only do the hotel's main entrance, hotel's lobby centrepiece and coffee hse glass wall..other area done by hskp dept.

bantahan! luahan perasaan

last friday, 1 jan 2010 aku solat jumaat di masjid sultan abu bakar jb, hmm keluar2 jer masjid lepas solat, ya Allah! aku teruss snap gambo atas nih.. salam hormat semua..
-mgkin pasal mereka rasa tidakpuas hati kpd kerajaan mesir yg tidak membenarkan bantuan kemanusiaan malaysia ke palestin (sempadan ditutup)

..dan baru2 nih, rata2 seluruh rakyat malaysia marah dan tidak puas hati dgn keputusan mahkamah tinggi meluluskan penggunaan khalimah Alllah di majalah mingguan katolik Herald. Banyak NGO, parti politik, pelbagai bangsa dan yg pasti seluruh umat islam di seluruh negeri m'sia nih berang!bersuara,menyampaikan memorandum,tunjuk perasaan,menulis blog etc kerana tidak puas hati.

..hmm yg pasti penganut agama islam dan kristian tidak boleh bertuhankan satu tuhan(satu nama khalimah Allah) =]

..Walau apapun, sama ada ianya bermotifkan politik, strategi atau perancangan pihak tertentu untuk jangkamasa atau motif tertentu..harap2 semua bertenang yer, jgn risau kerana saya yakin pihak raja2 melayu akan meminda perlembagaan/undang2 dan..bersedia sahajalah utk apa2pun.
hmm kerajaan najib tun razak akan menyelesaikannya dibawah restu majlis raja2 melayu kerana raja2 melayu sahaja yg sah memutuskan hal2 berkaitan perlembagaan malaysia; kemungkinan akan ada partition/penambahan rang undang2 yg jelas utk isu ini. Mahkamah tinggi telah menjalankan tanggungjawab dengan betul kerana mmg tiada undang2 spesifik mengatakan Allah utk umat Islam sahaja??, kemungkinan selama ini kerajaan malaysia terlepas pandang -ianya tidak ada dalam perlembangaan kita. Apa-apapun wallahuallambissawab

Last 3 weeks,cikgu kamalun-my former cikgu agama turns 70 yrs old ....she was my class teacher-she tought me bahasa arab, tauhid and berzanji when i was in standard 4 sekola agama islam at Pontian johor about 15 years ago..apparently shes also my fren's mother, shes mama of hafizulAsri:D note: aku sekola agama sampai darjah 5 jer n break for PMR, time aku masuk sekola teknik jb takdapat nk sambung darjah 6..

Amin n his loveones yg belanja...so we ate sampai kenyang ujung2 tanduk, nak muntahbalik makanan,hampir nak keluar balik nasi lalu telinga;p koyak pusat apis hhaha.. thkss amin!thks apis! n salam hormat cikguu..semoga panjang umur n murah rezeki:D

cikgu Hussain Md Said traditional Pontian Johor pembuat gambus -Oud Maker

ok, let me share this short story bout dis lovely teacher of mine, cikgu hussain md said =] he is my great gambus(oud) sifu which i met him and learn to play gambus last year in a weekly basis for about 2 month..

it all started when firhan's gambus brokeout at handle bar jb (we played few songs for flyfm champurchart goes tour jb) we were so sad :( firhan was really gud at dis show! serriuss bess!

he just accidently broke his gambus at the end of the performance -you can just checkout some of the peformance at youtube; just key in 'artdeep1 or decma' at the search box and search for flyfm campurchart goes life tour handle bar jb

and he had to spend some time to buy a new gambus and the band had to rest for a while!? nope, we perform tanpa firhan for a few show in KL and citiplaza jb, firhan was replaced/sessioned with Hasree (honey Bee guitarist/novelea drummer) to play rythm ..actly thnk god!alhamdulillah time tuh firhan dapat kerja di RHB bank-teller and he was on a porbation period of 6 month and he wanted to relax2 first -tggu cmfirmation kerja di RHB, maybe he will buy his own oud, sooner or later manatau bleh pform dua gambus sulam2~

although decma&tchb performed without firhan..jeng jeng jeng!wat a coincident alik my basis saw an article about cikgu hussain in Berita Harian and haha he lived in Pontian Johor my hometown! So myself and alik search for him at 'kayu ara pasong, jln kolam air' to buy gambus for the band.. hehe we found his house and i manage to buy the gambus myself plus cikgu hussain willing to teach me to play gambus for free of charge!

he said "belajar percuma, beli saje gambus saya/i'll teach u for free if u buy my oud" "and i bet u if you can play guitar, surely u can play gambus in just 3 month!"he added

wehoo! hmm sape nak beli gambus cikgu hussain email me k ..n belajo ngan aku pun bleh, tadahal ;)

cikgu hussain is one of my great sifu and idol, he is an 'otai indipendent musician' as he has his own d.i.y studio recording, his own band and musical instruments and also he writes and produced his own songs!(in a form of cassette-with printed coloured inlay!) hehe i ada beli kaset Lp cikgu hussain with songs like Niat Puasa, Pekerti Mulia and Renungkanlah..

im going to chill with him again veryy soon, rinndu ar cikgu! it has been almost 6 month since i went to his house for some MSC project and now i will see him again soon..maybe for a long term project too =]

-actly im much close wit alik den th rest of the band's lineup..we r like brothers;D .. i met him bout 9 years ago,..when myself n my senior artist chris jee can't co-op graphic werks and we really need help;p..hmm so i went to my past college-cosmopoint jb n seek my favorite graphic teacher cik azizah=] to ask and to advise me on "who is the best student dat can be recommended to my senior artist=] dat can work part time job?'..so cik azizah recomended alik(faris azwan nasiran -his real name) n hehe frm there we get along together as he worked frm parttime worker to permanent ..n frm graphics to stuf dat we like, band etc.. alik worked for 4yrs in pan pacific if im not mistaken n den he worked for mutiara hotel n now currently he is working at New York Hotel JB..stil doing graphic.:D

11 Oct sunday- was a kelamkabot day n one of the best day havin raya wit frens of mine.. frm pontian to kg melayu jb..raye raye raye ehee.. aku ngan taufiq jadik lembu terbang;p

at my home town Pontian we r the next generation of Anang, Jln Mat Salleh, Pt Semerah -frm schooling till now;p - port nih asalnye bapak2 kiteorang punya port, tapi sekarang we r the bapak2;p taklah nakal2 sangat kami nih..gile2 remaja tua jer kot;p ..ramai takde n bersepah budak2 nih kl, jb n tah mane2, tapi ok lah..puas hatii walu bape kerat yg ada

dis bbq took place at Rimba Terjun -kat rumah sewa sebelah umah Apis. -starts from 3pm to midnite, main organiser is Junaidi(tgh cuti nih,keje kitchen kat ireland), Hafizul(Apis) and Amin ..semue nih abang2 port kami nih. Get-together nih mmg perlu kot, sebab yer la nk satukan hati bebudak n makan beso2 ular sawa kapak;p ..taufiq punya hari jadi pun adalah ini hari! 11 oct ;D hapy bday bro!

hmm trus ke jb n sampai time maghrib kt kg melayu, register ahli n kiteorg dapat rukun + penyata ikrar utk dibaca dpan vips - penaung kami owner plaza seni jb n tetamu kehormat adun tanjung puteri.. pastuh lepak2 ngan firhan (dia jadi soundman jaga p.a system hehe)

aku ngan taufiq dah senget;p penat n kenyang ular sawa

dlm 11pm, aku ngan taufiq berdesup ke pontian balik..bbq kat pontian tuuh;p adeh

tolong2 sikit jek, sebab mmg dah nk balik semuenya huhu.. mmg taksempat bersama jemputan2 org2 yg dtg time mlm..
nih first yg kiranya abg2 kat port aku nih organise utk aidilfitri tahun nih ..aku rase takpenah junaidi, apis n amin or sape2 jer kat port aku buat bende bbq nih.. junaidi akan balik ke ireland dis 31oct..bon voyage bro! thkss!!

for me..its one of the best show ever! it was fun performing n hanging out wit frens of the music scene..dis is our first time to be on stage at laundry bar!;p ..thks to diky of firstance records and flyfm/hunny madu is the great recipee alongside with local artist kraft and pesawat :D ..

our close frens were there too =] rizal n karen of cease fire records, joe and the gang frm inthebox records, lely aka radiogurl22 came along wit hadi (former vocalist of laila's lounge), saiful and frens frm jb(sori tak hangout huhu kelamkabot sikit)
*the best part is we were interviewed slightly after the performance by 'unseen TV' -bobo kot nama dia n videographer mat salleh yg cool;p ..bual katak jer kami time tuh;p ..hmm band the couple pun ada ..adala lepak bebual kejap ngan aidil:D

raya!

im having my 3 days raya with my family..a cool n nice ambience aidilfitri at Pontian Johor..wit not much raya2 arnd;p and most of the time im stuck in my room..
like always,wit a pen n some papers to write plannings n datelines to mooove ehee abis kuih raya aku yg asyik bedal atas meja;p

*theres 3 major things to get in-line n hopefully it would be a great experience doing things that i want and i like the most;p ..tadahal, tawakal anything wat might come;p
1. to know n to luv myself more ..im having dis weird changing of myself; my sense of feelings, my way of thinkin and my faith..its not weird..im just experiencing 'the new of me' ;p..
goshh! teringat kata2 azmi gerak singkir -sememangnya duit penting dlm hidup..

doa+usaha+ikhtiar+tawakal = duit;p

2. new music; new project ..i cant help myself in music, i really enjoy songs/music and it surely depends on my mood n feelings, like always im doing music research n learning to understand any type world's music and it keep changing day by day..learnin tru mp3s, live shows, giggs or concerts, internets, radios or tvs.. ~ im creating my music..my life,my journey in chords n words

*i hav dis great frens of mine way back in Pontian and very talented, hav guts and dedicative. He(taufiq) has his own ideas of music, n we r kinda in a mood of creating new songs n music.. the idea is stil -'to be different' :D
hmm can dis 'so called great musical idea' be commercialise?sooon n maybe wit apis anang, apin or saad ~ehee; nothing to do wit my decma&tchb, but indirectly it would be in-line;D

3. production of a glocal product;p ..i've attended some courses last few month n currently im workin out wit my close peeps to make dis idea to go big;beyond borders!, we r stil in sum progress n kicking!.. we r doin the arts of production of a production hmm not wat u think of;p.. i wil write soon on wat is wat;p

buah pukul, firhan & iqbal

in mid 2006 kalo tak silap lah myself, alik and anuar(former folk guitarist decma&tchb) learn 'buah pukul' in Kg Melayu. Till now im stil learning this martial art 2 times a week kalo sempat lah as an exercise for myself.
It all started when i hav some misunderstanding n a lil fight at my working place jeng!jeng!jeng!!:p ~ The fight was over when we were cool-down by friends who saw dis fight;p but aku takpuas hati n i challenge him to meet n settle dis one n fo all outside of the building after werk 5pm, but he didnt turn up.. hmm at dis time, dis fren of mine named shamsul(working in the same company) heard bout dis n we lepak2 n tell me n fadly(fad sankurro) bout dis 'kenal diri' n show me some movemnt n fight skills of 'buah pukul'.. sebelum nih kat sekolah or mana2, aku nih koboi2 jek hahaa;p
..fadly make the first move attended the class and a month later i joined them!..and a month later alik n anuar joined us too;p ..the great sifu is Nordin Ali Hassan, and his helper or 'kaker' is Shamsul;p n Azmi.. Seni Silat Gerak Singkir is similar to buah mersing, buah pukul kuantung, buah endau, seni silat golok, gayang 5, seni lian paduka or padukan etc... En Nordin mewarisi ilmu ini daripada pak mat kedidi .. i've heard that sultan johor pun tahu ilmu nih
~believe me, this martial arts is different frm silat bcoz dis martial arts dont have 'bunga' n it is similar to kungfu/shaolins, muathai.. the 8 weapon of ourself(2 penumbuk, 2 siku, 2 lutut n 2 kaki)
*seni tempur nih sama jer ngan lain2 seni pertahankan diri sebab ianya bertujuan pertahankan diri di kala terdesak, utk rohani dan jasmani, untuk menyerang n mengelak musuh;p ..or utk exercise senam2 jek actly..
*its also a way of knowing yourself as a normal human being, in all aspect of life/in a relationship between humanity n god, also self-weekness and the strenghness to somehow its for our instinct, to be more dicipline.. hmm more to tasawuf:)

here in kg melayu is where i met firhan(decma&tchb gambusist) and
iqbal(used to play tabla/percussions wit us) -they r my sifu's (Nordin Ali Hassan) only sons! -

guyss, what a headeache to describe my mood, my feelings and my thoughts towards my serounding- my daily life rite now.. hmm ok ok yea i can write but i dun feel to write rite now.. further more its very challenging to write/describe the feelings in a form of a sajak/poem/syair;p ..u cant be restless..kena tenang2;p-muncul the arts of writing =]


Sumtime i need to have a guitar if im not in a mood to write lah- it is more easier to have the words in line wit the feelings or thoughts..=] hoho

in other hands people do relate writings/poem or songs to their life, to describe feelings, of a portraitures..to picture or even more to write thoughts to a form of an object etc..hmm reminds me of emma, shes seen the lights;p :D

buka puasa with kell =]

yesterday, i planned for my band to hav a get-together buka puasa plus to hav sum discussion for projects in october onwards.. it was just for tchb only as decma pon takde,shes in shahalam.. we planned to have it in tm universiti as Amirul (our drummer) is working in a printing company there.. but hmm mirul cant make it -he off frm work at 9.30pm huh;p
..wit a glance, khalisah zakaria or kell from 'Karya Art Group came to my head as shes in tm universiti(dok belajo dlm utm).. i called kell n she arranged for the food at Tungku Impian restaurant at Tm Universiti Jb. Alik invited his working partner too which also my fren named adihasnor (they work in NY Hotel as graphic artist too)..bess wo nasi putih, ikan siakap 3 rasa, sup ekor, sayur kailan ikan masin, telur dadar, bubur pengat campur(compliment frm the restaurnt) dan ais limauu.

we chitchat n blurpblurp lawaks2 gatal2 til 9pm!;p.. actly dis is my first buka puasa with my frens..some more dah lama giler takjumpe kell, so it was great n fun catching up on things of the indie/art scene.. sweet jer kell dah bertudung sekarang =]

whats in my head rite now?hmm ok let seee, i'll start wit my daily werk n guess what, as im thinking wat to write now, theres slightly in head dat huh!my car!..its in a workshop n been towed last 2 days - broke down last friday...now thinking of a new car, maybe its the rite time to trade-in to a new sedan =] ..dah la dekat raya aidilfitri nih, hmm neway apa2pun alhamdulillah..

At my office, things getting better n better, dalam setahun nih kami di 'overlook' oleh Puan Noraizan(dah resign dah) and now Ms Yeo.. before this, its kak Izan My exboss Mr kamarul, Director of Marketing just got his place back to roar with the company's board of directors, he's not going to resign and i hope that Art Department will report to him once again ;D

but no worry just to update u guys that fastfwrd records indonesia (mocca official record label) is now in Malaysia, registered with our goverment and its going to be huge!!;D thkss to joe frm in the box records

..yeaa,i know wats with decma&tchb ful-lengh album;p?? didnt i told u guys to wait for updates?i'll concact n spread the latest infos if theres any rite?;p haha hmm .. ok ok..first of all..like always..so so so sos sososos sorry okay!=] we're kinda lining up all of our daily werks n studies (b4 dis, we're lining up the band n the managemnt rite?hehe) ..ayoyo so much things scheduled had to be delayed and sum had to be cancelled -ntv7 quickie, rtm/astro indie segment, some ivs n hmm actly theres so much things goin on among the band's lineup and..believe me, wit all mean the band is stil progressing and kicking, its just a matter of time now,..afterall music is our passion and daily werks is our goals =] ,,special thks to those who keep up with me -smss, call me in th middle of day n nite, buzz my fbook page and twit me and read dis blog! huh! i dun hav much time to handle myspace and the band's fbook..no worry im stil wit u guys as u guys always in my heart okay!=]

1. do you agree wit me that any type of Arts is universal and it has no borders? positively?
2. In a democratic country of malaysia, my opinion is : if we do love arts (any kind of arts) ..do support it..do tell everybody and spread the words bout your favorites and be proud of it, thats it! rite?? ..are we going to condemn and to provoke friends 'to hate and to have wars out of your unfavoritable arts/culture? ..hmmm
3. sometimes people get confuse when we talk about local arts or any part of the world's great arts..or the industy =]wehooo:D its not fair if sometimes we said that we support arts or independent movement/scene but in the same time we condemn outsiders.* its too bad one of our local radio station that support our local music scene is sending the message of 'not to support outsiders and it seems that they're pointing to indonesian songs and music.* its toooooo bad that theres people in the copyright agency and some of the local artists are also promoting to minimise the outsiders' songs on the radios.

PLEASE BE MINDFUL : Before this, local great bands like LMB, PupShuvit or Couple being recognised by outside of Malaysia's music scene.*are you guys out there commercialy trying not to have our great bands to go out?to go internationals??? ~so please dont make statements not to have outsiders music on the radio or you are going to minimise the airplay etc. ..if you guys really want to support the local scene, just do the nessesary things but please dont f**k the global or the artists music elsewhere.. takyah guna media or tv. Just do it.~and for those who dont like indonesian or any part of the world's music, just be it..its okay, coz u have yr own ears to listen to..but Dont ever pass the words of : 'support your local music scene, don't support outside/indonesian music' ..coz i haven't found any country that hate and promote not to love malaysia's music. huh! If there's any, they dont have it on the radio or in a tv programme;p ..not even in the daily newspaper.its not positive. you are provoking, u are making yourself somehow rasict, prejudice, a hatred feelings huh! ..dont you know that independent music or independent movement is based on friendship and unity??? mana ada kat dunia nih independent music citer pasal bende yg tak suka..takyah la ajak org lain benci.. hahaaa korang lagi down from underground kot huhu purba scene;p

i'm living in Johor Bahru n berasal dr Pontian Johor, working as a graphic artist at Puteri Pacific JB and spend most of my time wondering and berangan;p wek ok ok, below is my band, from left Firhan(oud) Amirul(drums) Decma(vocals) me(guitars) and Alik(bass) ..updated Decma&theCouldHaveBeen picture n designs.. if u can c the righthanded(doted n arabic font) is Fad sankurro's designed, which is the band's branding logo of the first released e.p. named 'Prologue of Us'.We'll be releasing new singles n album very soon..now is only matter of time, from sept'08 till now, we're doing great and dealing with so many great frens that helped us a lot!andy inspire, joe intheBoxRecords, rizal n karen of ceaseFireRecords, bear jiwakosong/artJuice n yg terbaru Diky of FirstStanceRecords ..we're trying to get the best of us as the band is still new to the local scene, still fresh and we hope dat the music is being heard n recognise elsewhere.. we're not trying to be the best of the best haha;p ..just want to spread bout the music,, hope u guys support us and spread the words to anyone u guys might think of, sape2 yg suke muzik mai dengar lagu kami yerr =] cheersss www.myspace.com/thecouldhavebeen

Im serounding with great peeps..besides my bandmates, below are some of peeps im hanging out with or they r part of my life ..for now;D

Kak Rohezan;p Asstn PR Manager ..hehe nih gambar kami at PuteriPacific's Annual Dinner & Dance (theme masquarade nite) last month at Persada Johor. At the center is Mr John Roozemond, the company's GM ..on the right is my boss En Kamarul, PuteriPacific's Dir of Marketing; he got tonnes of cassettes n cds of music influences; from Sex Pistols to The Cars to The Jam, fugazi album semue ada ah, the cure, the grateful dead pun ada! rockers ar geng! dia baru jer last few month bagi aku bout 100album(1000 songs in mp3)huh!;ptak abis lagi dengar aku!..rumah pun dok kat penthouse kat atas eskimojoy plaza DMP, nih pic kat umah dia..hehe dengan guitar perghh!teka la guitar ape tuh ;D ..salam hormat boss!kerja tetap kerja hehe;p ~dulu boss lama aku En Zaidon pun giler bess, lagu cerminkanku tuh ada sikit adaptasi dr diri dia;p
